George Orwell: ‘You and the Atomic Bomb’ First published: Tribune. — GB, London. — October 19, 1945. 走進展場的第一時間我看到左側有一個錄像,一牆之隔則有一張黑白照片,這兩個作品不分先後的進入眼簾。待步入空間之後,我發現中有三種媒材:錄像、照片與聲音,它們分別指涉三種時間的狀態。「錄像」關於現在,畫面中張乾琦的母親一方面做著手邊的事情,一方面回答張乾琦的問題。「聲音」則來自於過去。屋頂上有一個緬甸製播音器,不停播送於喬治.歐威爾(George Orwell)於1945年所寫的《你與原子彈》(You and the Atomic Bomb)。錄像當中聲音也是指向過去的,每當靜照出現的時候,「不靜」的聲響就會穿插其中,鑼鼓聲、軍歌聲、機槍聲,彷彿讓觀眾身歷其境。 實體照片是第三種狀態,但是它指涉的時間卻很模糊,與播音相比,它們沒有明顯的時代氛圍,與錄像相比較,又會察覺它們安靜異常。儘管照片之中也有人,但是它們不像是訪談中的...
